Store software

Shopify

Our web store has been developed with software from Shopify. Personal data that you provide to us for our services is shared with Shopify. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with technical support, but will never use your data for other purposes. Shopify is required to implement appropriate security measures. These include SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. In addition, Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software. No personal data is collected or stored in this process. Shopify may share collected data within its own group to further improve its services and adheres to statutory retention periods for personal data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies.

Office365

We use the services of Office365 for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Shipping and logistics

When you place an order, we process your personal data in order to properly handle and deliver your order.

For the storage, processing, and shipping of orders, we work together with our fulfillment partner. Additionally, we use carriers such as PostNL and other logistics service providers.

To carry out these services, we only share the personal data necessary for this purpose, such as your name, address, city, email address, phone number (if necessary), and order details.

These parties process your data only to the extent necessary for the processing and delivery of your order and any associated services. Where required, we make appropriate privacy agreements regarding this.

When logistics service providers use subcontractors, the necessary data may also be shared with these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

For keeping our records and accounting, we use the services of e-Boekhouden. We share your name, address, and city details, as well as details regarding your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your data is transmitted and stored securely. e-Boekhouden is obligated to maintain confidentiality and treats your data confidentially. They do not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Purpose of processing

We only use your data to perform our services.

Automatically collected data

When you visit our website, we automatically collect technical data, such as your IP address, browser, and operating system. This information helps us improve our services and is not personal data.

Legal obligations

In some cases, HeroFur may be required to share data, for example in the event of a tax or criminal investigation. We only do this when required by law.

Retention periods

Your customer profile is retained for as long as you use our services. If you indicate that you no longer wish to be a customer, we treat this as a request to be forgotten and will delete your data. We are legally required to retain invoices and administrative data for longer. After this period, your data will no longer be accessible to employees.
